Co-curricular Music

Instrumental Class Programme
The Instrumental Class Programme has commenced for Years 1, 2, 3, and 5
Year 1 students learn violin or cello in small groups each Wednesday from 1:15 – 2:15pm
Year 2 students who may not otherwise take on an instrument are given some exposure to a new brass instrument during class Music lessons over the course of the year.
Year 3 students learn an orchestral instrument in small groups each Wednesday from 11:30am – 12:30pm.
Year 5 Students, new to the school in 2022, are given some exposure to a new brass or woodwind instrument during class Music lessons over the course of the year.
This is a wonderful programme to offer all students lessons on an instrument.
Individual Instrumental Lessons
Enrolment forms are available at http://community.trinity.nsw.edu.au/1_senior/docs/spirit_musicTuition.pdf or from the Junior School front office for students who would like to learn a musical Instrument individually. For further information about individual music lessons including timetabling, please contact musicadmin@trinity.nsw.edu.au
Instrumental Ensemble Program
In Week 2 we welcomed back students to their Ensembles.
Membership of all enrolments for Music Co-curriculars are by invitation. If you were a member of a Music Co-curricular Ensemble in 2021, your enrolment automatically rolls over into 2022. All rehearsals are conducted according to a COVID safe plan.
Choir, String Ensembles and the Concert Band are available for students to gain an invaluable ensemble experience. If your son wishes to be involved, please ask your private teacher at school or please inform us of the instrument your son plays. For the String Ensembles, new invitations are sent by the Head of Strings, Ms Kate Morgan. For the Concert Bands, invitations are sent by Mr Gergely Mályusz.
Voice trials will be held for all new boys and any other student interested in joining the Choir over the next week. The Junior School Choir is for boys in Years 3 to 6 and invitations to join are sent home individually beginning from Week 4.
