Learning in the Library

Year One has been looking at the influence of Friedensreich Hundertwasser who was an Austrian visual artist during Library time this week. The boys looked at the way he used colour and shape in the houses that he designed. They boys then created their own houses, using similar design ideas.

Boys using the Library before school

It is always great to see boys coming into the Library before school to do some reading, borrowing or playing board games with their friends. Below are some snap shots of boys using the space this week.

Children’s Book Council of Australia

The Children’s Book Council of Australia (CBCA) will be announcing their decision for the best Australian books for children for 2022 next week. The short list of these books can be found at https://cbca.org.au/shortlist-2022  The Junior School Library has copies of all of these books available for borrowing.

These books have been displayed in their CBCA categories in the JS Library. The boys are being encouraged to add their votes to which books they like the best.
