Selected from 2022 graduate exhibitions, New Art 23 offers a glimpse of some of the most compelling work by the next generation of artists.

This year’s edition of Delmar Gallery’s biennial survey exhibition brings together nine emerging artists who have recently completed Masters, Honours and BFA degrees from the National Art School and Sydney College of the Arts.

A broad cross-section of art disciplines is represented, from textiles to video installation, photography, ceramics and sculpture. Mining the past to find new expressions for the future, their works engage with pressing issues of our time, navigate the complexities of cultural identity or propose sophisticated aesthetic experiences of texture, surface and depth.

The exhibition continues to 12 March, gallery open Wednesday – Sunday, 12 – 5pm.

Artist talks:  Saturday 11 March, 2.30pm
