Renewal Project | September 2026 Update

It’s an exciting time in this phase of the Renewal Project at Trinity as the team pushes hard into the final leg of the works.

This month the external paving has commenced, with Sam the Paver (who completed stages 1–2) returning for this stage.

The external balustrade and glazing components are also nearing completion, as are the stairs and amphitheatre seating areas.

Levels 2–4 are 95% completed, with the design team consultants inspecting work and providing notes on further rectification measures or signing off.

Commissioning of all building services has commenced and is now expected to take around two months to complete.

By the end of September, the joinery to reception, the new library and Quad student lockers is expected to be finalised.

Excitingly, the external garden beds are taking shape, with greenery being planted. To ready the garden beds, over 300 tonnes of soil was imported over the span of four days using a truck mounted blower machine – no small task!

Ten new ‘Little Gem’ magnolia trees have also been planted to line the ceremonial access to the Quad Building / Aquatic Centre – as they grow they will provide a magnificent welcome for all.

The new home for the pastoral team and TESS Academic is now ready, with the team moving into Level 0 (Ground Floor) of the Quad Building over the coming weekend after the receipt of the Interim Occupancy certificate for this zone.
