Weekly Sport Wrap Up – Term 2 Concludes with Strong Results Across the Program
The final round of Term 2 saw Trinity teams finish the term on a positive note, with strong results across multiple codes and a solid showing against St Aloysius’.
Football produced an excellent set of results. Both the 1st and 2nd XI recorded wins, with the 1st XI securing a 1–0 victory and the 2nd XI winning 2–1. Hesham Eid featured prominently across the round, playing in goal for the 2nd XI before scoring the winning goal for the 1st XI in their first win of the season. Several junior teams also enjoyed success, with Johnas Xipolitis scoring a hat‑trick for the 8C team, and the 8E team remaining undefeated.
In Rugby, Trinity recorded convincing wins in the Opens, with both the 1st XV (32–24) and 2nd XV (27–0) defeating St Aloysius’. Callum Charnock crossed twice for the 1st XV for the second consecutive week. Strong results also came from the age‑group teams, with hat‑tricks scored by Koah Stanley and Asher Stewart in the 14As, Tristiarne Thorne in the 13As, and Tim Stanton‑Clark scoring all four tries in the 3rd XV’s win.
Tennis delivered a strong close to the term, with both the 1st and 2nd IV recording 8–0 wins against St Aloysius’. All ‘A’ teams were successful across the round, continuing a consistent pattern of results throughout the season.
In Volleyball, Trinity also finished strongly, with the 1st VI winning 3–0 and the 2nd VI claiming a 3–2 victory. Wins across multiple age groups contributed to a strong overall return against St Aloysius’.
AFL faced Barker, with the 1st XVIII narrowly defeated 53–59 in a competitive contest.
In Cross Country, Trinity athletes competed at both the Knox Relays at St Ives and the NSW Championships in Nowra. At the state championships, Alex Miller recorded a third‑place finish in the Under 13 event, finishing Term 2 on a strong note for the Cross Country program.
There were also several representative selections announced to close the term. Trinity was well represented in CAS 16s Rugby, with Lucas Villate‑Gallagher, Wes Moala, Randy Ennis, Ryder Lupton and Angus Quintano selected. In CIS 16s League, Ethan Mullins and Pax Caine earned selection, recognising their strong performances across the season.
With a 69% win rate against St Aloysius’ in the final round and strong contributions across age groups, Trinity concludes Term 2 with momentum heading into the winter break.
