Community the key to a strong future
Every space at Trinity has its own claim to fame as the ‘beating heart’ of the School. Whether it be the classrooms where formal learning happens, the Chapel where faith is strengthened, the playground where lifelong bonds are formed or the sporting fields where legendary plays are made.
But there’s one office that can claim a different kind of impact – that of driving the future of Trinity, ensuring classrooms, sporting fields and other necessary updates are here for generations of Trinity students: the Development Office.
Last year, the Development Office welcomed a new face as the Director of Development: Ms Leanne Dib.
Coming to Trinity with a background of over 25 years of working in the not-for-profit sector, Ms Dib says that throughout every piece of her career journey so far, she has been driven by the same thing: “the opportunity to make a positive and lasting difference for good causes”.
She describes her role as the Director of Development as a “bridge” between the School and its wider community – parents, Old Boys, past families, staff, and friends of the School.
“Through storytelling and engagement, this role highlights how generosity translates into real outcomes for students,” she says. “By showing donors the tangible difference their support makes we can build trust, shared pride, and a sense of collective responsibility for the School’s future success.”
This goal is made possible by a strong focus on relationships and it’s what drew her to the role in the first place.
“Trinity stood out for its strong sense of purpose, heritage, and community. From my earliest conversations, it was clear that Trinity values relationships deeply – whether with students, families, Old Boys or staff.”
Now, she says that one of her favourite parts of being in this role is building these relationships for herself.
“One of the most rewarding opportunities has been getting to know the Trinity community and hearing their stories and connection to the School,” she says. “Building these relationships has reinforced the depth of loyalty and engagement that exists within the community.”
And a lovely bonus for Ms Dib is seeing her own son begin Year 7 at Trinity this year.
“It’s been a very special experience, allowing me to see Trinity not only as a staff member but also as a parent.”
Ms Dib says that her focus is on strengthening relationships across the community and supporting the initiatives that will have a lasting impact on the School’s future, noting a particular pride in the Trinity Foundation’s June Giving Day, and other fundraising events where community members have the opportunity to support.
“It’s a privilege to contribute to a community that values both excellence and service. Working at Trinity has reinforced for me how powerful a strong school community can be.”
