Renewal Project | May 2026 Update
As we head towards the winter months, Sydney has been charmed with good, dry weather, which has seen the Renewal Project reap the rewards, making leaps and bounds while it holds.
During this great weather run, trade resources have been ramped up to run around 100-110 tradesmen per day – many hands make light work and that has certainly been the case over the last few weeks.
Over the past six weeks, the main staircase No. 14 has been completed up to roof level, two new lifts have been installed and the footing/retaining wall construction alongside the pool area has also been completed, creating a space for the new trees and garden beds to come.
The internal fit out works to the classrooms and staff rooms has also progressed significantly – including framing, sheeting, roughing and initial painting – across all levels with ceiling sheeting now also commencing on level two.
From a façade perspective, the bare stone cladding has progressed on levels three and four. All external windows to the have been installed across levels one to four and the roofing install to level four is now complete with the level three arrow roof approximately 70% towards completion as well.
The external walkway balustrade has also progressed to level two and three.
All Trinity brickwork arches have now been constructed with the bricklayer shifting focus to Lift 1’s External Brick Enclosure.
Within the Quad building, floor preparation and carpet installation is 80% complete throughout all levels with the final paint and fit out underway. Initial furniture deliveries have also commenced with the expectation that staff and students can have operational use of the ground floor (Level 0) during Term 3 of this year.
Students have, once again, benefited from the on-site work. With two year 11 classes (11BC1 & 11BC2) introduced to the site and inducted into the Taylor’s Construction Group site induction program, with the view they will undertake a walkthrough later during Term 2.
Mr Kell Daniels’ Year 8 Maths class will also receive a walkthrough of the site. The class has been using the site model – drawings, photos and more – to learn about volumes, quantities, and logistics. It’s great to offer them an experience to see the theory in practice, so close to home.
