Renewal Project | December 2025 Update 

As the year comes to an end, it’s a great time to look back on the progress the Renewal Project has made over the past twelve months. With staff and students already enjoying some sections of recent builds, it’s been a year where the effort of the Renewal Project can clearly be seen and put to good use. 

While the first half of the year was filled with unpredictable weather, the second half has seen some stability. To take advantage of this, the team has been pushing hard, working a lot of long days and carrying out big concrete pours over the last two months in order to make up for time lost due to the inclement weather. 

All being well with the weather, the goal is to have the main structure up by Christmas. With two remaining pours across December, once the final one is complete, the suspended slab structure will have used over 2400m3 – that’s 300 concrete trucks and 17 full days just placing concrete. 

Once again, some Trinity students have had the chance to hear more about the process. Mr Kell Daniels’ own Year 8 class had a short on-site visit to hear about the building processes and structure, learning from real-world experience and taking their knowledge back to the classroom. 

We’re looking forward to more progress being made over these longer School holidays while students and staff are offsite, and we’re sure all in the School community will enjoy seeing the progress in the New Year. 

In particular, the ‘Topping Out’ ceremony – to celebrate the milestone of placing the last structural beam at the highest point of the building – is anticipated to occur at the end of January. The photos below is from the very top of the build as it stands now, at the beginning of December, 2025.
