Renewal Project | May Update

Renewal Project | May Update

After the School holidays, there’s always exciting progress with which to update the Trinity community. Without students and staff on campus, more progress can be made without disruption – it’s always good news for the Renewal Project.

In April the following works were completed:

  • In-ground foundations were 90% completed and shoring walls to the East were 100% completed.
  • Stormwater and sewer service connections for the showers and toilet blocks commenced.
  • The footings for the static concrete pump were installed – this will service all the concrete pours from ground level through to the roof level, so this is an integral piece of work.
  • Lift shaft foundations and wall works commenced.
  • The internal strip out of the Quad building has now been completed and further progress is pending structural advice from engineers regarding undocumented structural elements.

Ahead in May:

  • The completion of in-ground stormwater and sewer pipework connections.
  • Commencement of reinforcement and forming of the ground floor slab.
  • The first concrete pour is expected to take place in late May.
