Top workplace award

Two years in a row

Trinity has won a key “best workplace” award for the second year running.

The award is given to schools recording a favourable response rate over 80 per cent based on almost 100 questions put to staff at 47 independent schools.

“To attain this level twice in consecutive years is a remarkable achievement,” Headmaster Tim Bowden told staff.

Trinity staff recorded responses over 80 per cent in all three main categories – engagement (reflecting job satisfaction and staff commitment), wellbeing (emotional health at work), and progress (staff perceptions of an organisation’s performance).

The engagement response of 89 per cent was five per cent higher than the benchmark average of all schools surveyed, wellbeing at 82 per cent was 14 per cent higher, and progress at 86 per cent was nine per cent above.

Mr Bowden said Trinity’s results generally were below the School’s high “spike” level of last year but above the corresponding 2023 figures.

He views the Xref Engage survey not as a competition against other schools but as an important input shaping his leadership of Trinity.
