Weekend Sports Roundup – Cricket firsts end 2024 on a high

Scintillating performances with bat and ball marked a comprehensive nine-wicket victory for the cricket firsts on the final day of sport for the year.

Trinity bowled St Aloysius out for 166 in the rain-affected match, which was reduced to a one-dayer.

Jaden Tsang (10We), Hunan Ali (10Ar) and Tom Blackman (9Du) each took three wickets.

Trinity then chased down the runs with the loss of just one wicket, Xander Carstens (10Ke) scoring a rapid-fire 88 not out off 94 balls, and Tom Bermingham (11Mu) 60 not out off 69 balls.

Matches for the seconds, 10As and 9As were all washed out.
