It was much the same story in tennis and table tennis, with the firsts winning 6-2 and 4-1 respectively and the seconds weighing in undefeated 8-0 and 5-0.

The water polo firsts won 20-5 while the seconds drew 9-9.

In cricket the firsts got off to a strong start, amassing 354, with major contributions coming from  Xander Carstens (10Ke) 114 and Tom Bermingham (11Mu) 78. Knox was 0-33 in reply.

The seconds had a tougher time, being bowled out for 92 with Knox 3-48 at stumps.

The volleyball firsts and seconds both had byes; the thirds drew with Knox 1 – 1 and the fourths defeated St Aloysius 3 – 0.

Touch football had five wins and six losses; the Open As went down to Riverview, St Augustine’s and Barker  in the multiple shorter games of a round robin.

In representative news, Joshua Falato (11Sc) has been selected in the Australian U18 schoolboys football squad to tour the UK and Ireland in January.
