Trinity Super Rugby Alumni go head to head

It was a Super Rugby match that could almost have doubled as a Trinity reunion when the NSW Waratahs hosted the ACT Brumbies before 25,000 fans at Allianz Stadium.

Old boys Tom Lambert and Tane Edmed both turned out for the Waratahs against another old boy, Brumbies signing Jack Debreczini.

It was the first time three Trinitarians had played in the same professional rugby match.

And for good measure another old boy, current teacher and Director of Enrolments James Leckie, was on deck as the television match official.

For the record the Brumbies won 31-25, with Lambert making his debut in the 20th minute, alas on the losing side, although a late penalty from Edmed gave the hosts a losing bonus point.
