Annual Concerto Competition Culmination
This year’s Concerto Competition reached its culmination this week, with the 13 finalists selected from over 50 entries performing in the Orchestra Room on Tuesday 9 November.
The finalists were:

Our visiting adjudicator was Anne-Louise Comerford, Associate Principal (Viola) with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra. Anne-Louise is a widely-travelled and experienced performer and teacher, having studied and taught in the US and Germany, as well as in Australia. She was a founding member of the Australian Chamber Orchestra and has performed as a member of the Australia Ensemble.
Anne-Louise stated that she was deeply impressed with the standard of our boys, many of whom were performing works at the level of 1st and 2nd year university students. She was positive in her suggestions for improvements and was encouraging of the boys to continue with their musical engagement.
