Evening of Music 2022

The pictures above are the boys rehearsing for next week’s Evening of Music. On Wednesday 9 November the Mozart Strings, Intermezzo Strings, Vivaldi Strings, Allegro Concert Band, Prestissimo Jazz and the Junior School Choir will perform at the Annual Evening of Music at 6pm in The Assembly Hall. Please save this date in your diary as it is shaping up to be a lovely evening.

New Ensembles for 2023

We are currently taking Expressions of Interest from any boy who might be interested in joining a new ensemble next year. The new ensembles on offer are:

PERCUSSION ENSEMBLE (Snare Drum, Djembes, Xylophones, Conga Drums);

CHAMBER MUSIC (For advanced Piano, Violin, Viola, Cello);

BRASS ENSEMBLE (Advanced Trumpet, Trombone, French Horn, Euphonium);

GUITAR ENSEMBLE (For guitarists who have learnt for one year or more);

CONTEMPORARY (For Vocalists, Guitarists, Drummers)

The current ensembles are: JUNIOR CHOIR, ALLEGRO CONCERT BAND, PRESTISSIMO JAZZ, MOZART STRINGS, VIVALDI STRINGS, INTERMEZZO STRINGS

All ensembles are busy preparing for our Evening of Music and Prizegiving, therefore all students need to attend and be punctual at every rehearsal.

Monday 

Mozart Strings (2:15 – 2:45pm) – Junior School Music Room

Intermezzo Strings (3.15 – 4.00pm) – School of Music Orchestra Room

Allegro Concert Band (3.15 – 4.15pm) – School of Music Band Room

Wednesday 

Prestissimo Jazz (from 7:30am) – School of Music Band Room

Year 3 Instrumental (11:30am – 12:30pm) – School of Music

Year 1 Instrumental (1:15 – 2:15pm) – School of Music

Thursday 

Vivaldi Strings (from 7:15am) – School of Music Orchestra Room

Allegro Concert Band (from 7:30am) – School of Music Band Room

Friday 

Junior School Choir (from 7:15am) – School of Music Choir Room
