Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten Grandparents Day
Thank you to Chenyu and Lucas who played before the Grandparents Day Chapel Service on Tuesday. This was another wonderful opportunity for our boys to share their musical talents with the wider Trinity community.
Denham Court Scholarship 2023
Students who have applied for the Denham Court Scholarship have now been contacted concerning rehearsal times with Ms Welsh (if applicable) and their audition time for Thursday 10th November. Good luck!
AMEB
This week was the first time in nearly two years that we have been able to host the Australian Music Examination Board practical exams on site. Tuesday were the string exams where the students were ably supported by Ms Welsh as accompanist and today, we held the piano exams. Thanks, and appreciation to the Instrumental Music Staff for their support and guidance of the students with their music studies. We look forward to celebrating their success once the results are received.
Concerto Competition
The Preparatory School has nine students entered into either the Infants or Junior School Concerto Competition sections. String heats will be held at the Preparatory School on Tuesday 1st November from 11:30am. All boys will be expected to be ready for an 11:30am start and listen to the other entrants. The Finals concert will be held on Tuesday 8th November at 7pm in the Orchestra Room.
Studio Concerts
The Studio Concerts for Semester 2 will be held according to the timetable below in Weeks 4 and 5 in the Mozart Room. Performance at a studio concert represents a significant learning milestone in your son’s instrumental programme. It is an expectation that all students will perform in their full school summer uniform (no sports uniform or sandshoes). Thursday Concerts are exempt due to the boys not requiring the summer uniform that day.
Please note that your son is required to attend the entire concert to which he is allocated. The Music Concerts will take priority over the Learn to Swim classes. If there is a clash, please notify the classroom teacher as your son may miss swimming that day. Each performer can invite two guests to attend.
