Denham Court Scholarship 2023

The Denham Court Scholarship applications for students who have attained Grade 3 or above on an orchestral instrument have now closed. No Late entries will be accepted, Mrs Campbell will notify parents of the one piano accompaniment rehearsal supported by the School with Ms Welsh (if required) and the audition time next week. Any further accompaniment rehearsals will be at the parental expense and paid directly to Ms Welsh.

Royal School of Church Music

On Tuesday Trinity Singers participated in the Royal School of Church Music Junior Schools Choral Festival at St. Andrew’s Cathedral. They boys joined forces with students from The Kings School, Arden Anglican School, SCEGS and St Andrew’s Cathedral School to raise the cathedral roof in beautiful song.  They worked with Mr Lachlan Massey the guest conductor from the Sydney Children’s Choir and Sydney Song Company and organist Mr Callum Know the Organ Scholar from St James, King Street since 2000. Thanks to Ms Keyser and Mrs Swanton for their preparation of the students for this event and to Mr Lever for his support on the night.

Trinity Singers will now be preparing for the Remembrance Day Ceremony on 11th November, the Christmas Carol Community Event on 28th November and Prize Giving on 2nd December, so it is vital students attend all scheduled rehearsals going forward and that they are punctual.

Concerto Competition

Preparatory School students will be entered into the Infant or Junior School Competition sections. String/piano heats will be held at the Preparatory School on Tuesday 1st November from 11am.  Application forms are available HERE for the Application form or from the Music Centre and are due to Music Admin at Summer Hill by Wednesday 26th October.  No late entries will be accepted. Please CC Mrs Campbell into the online entry form response to Music Admin so that she can then allocate the heat time at the Preparatory School.  Mr Kinda will be the accompanist for the heats and those who reach the finals concert which will be held on Tuesday 8th November at 7pm in the Orchestra Room. Good Luck!

Studio Concerts

The Studio Concerts for Semester 2 will be held according to the timetable below in Weeks 4 and 5 in the Mozart Room. Performance at a studio concert represents a significant learning milestone in your son’s instrumental programme. It is an expectation that all students will perform in their full school summer uniform (no sports uniform or sandshoes). Thursday Concerts are exempt due to the boys not requiring the summer uniform that day.

Please note that your son is required to attend the entire concert to which he is allocated.  The Music Concerts will take priority over the Learn to Swim classes. If there is a clash, please notify the classroom teacher so an alternative arrangement for that day can be arranged.  Each performer is able to invite two guests to attend.
