Author / Illustrator Visit- Ronojoy Ghosh

Last Friday we had an Author talk with Ronojoy Ghosh, he visited Prep School and shared the inspiration behind his success as an Author/Illustrator. During his visit, students engaged by drawing and sharing their ideas which created a story.

Illustrator / Author Visit- Ronojoy Ghosh

Ronojoy Ghosh has been in the advertising industry for the past 20 years, which has included stints in India, Indonesia, Singapore and New Zealand. He currently lives in Australia with his wife and son. Over the years he has won Gold at Cannes, The London International Awards, Caples, Adfest and AWARD. He has also won numerous Silver, Bronze and Finalists at The One Show, Clio, Young Guns and AXIS. He is an ideas man who tries to explore any medium that inspires him. In 2010 he wrote a short play for the New Zealand Transport Authority. He has also exhibited his paintings at the Academy of Fine Arts in Wellington.

Beyond advertising he writes and illustrates children’s picture books. His first children’s picture book ‘Ollie and the Wind’ was shortlisted for ‘Book of the Year’ by the Children’s Book Council of Australia. His second book ‘No Place Like Home’ a story about a grumpy polar bear, is available in Australia and has also been translated into Spanish, Chinese and Korean. He recently illustrated Mem Fox’s ‘I’m Australian Too’ which has been shortlisted for Book of the Year for 2018 by the CBCA. He is currently working on his 12th book.
