JUNIOR SCHOOL AUXILIARY MEETING
20 October 2022 – minutes
The minutes from last meeting were published.
ATTENDEES – Michelle Read, Amanda Maclean, Liz Dinh, Anasua Roy, Nikki Mesiti, Katherine Bhatia, Kate Vickery, Jessica Lamb, Marcia Lai, Venessa Reidy, Rodney Seeto, Tracy Dhar, Min Kim, Helen Karlos
MICHELLE READ – AUXILIARY PRESIDENT
Walkathon – funds received $13,603. $6800 to be donated to the John Maclean Foundation. This will enable the Foundation to purchase 3 Sport Wheelchairs
Yr 6 Farewell Gifts for the boys – each boy will receive a school wallet. To be purchased by the Auxiliary
Year 6 Valedictory Service – the Auxiliary will provide the cake. Balloons and afternoon tea following service to be provided by the school
Gifts for Rina and Jo – a thank you gift by to be organised by Auxiliary -c hamper, wine, flowers – possible suggestions
Gifts from Yr 6 for JS staff – suggested Yr 6 class parents organise contributions from parents – perhaps shared hamper for staff room, or bottles of wine.
Reminder to class parents about end of year gifts for class teacher
Gelato Day – Friday 4th November – Yr 5 to assist
K-2 Athletics – Boys will be given an ice block at the end of the carnival
Kindergarten and Yr 6 Art auction – Art works have been completed. Kindergarten Artwork will be auctioned online. Yr 6 Artworks to be auctioned at the Graduation Dinner.
AGM – to be held next month. Nominations for executives and class parents to be made
Orientation Day for incoming Kindergarten 2023 and new students. Liz to speak on behalf of Auxiliary.
Mark has suggested possibly alternating the Obstacool course every second year with another activity. Suggestions to be discussed at future meetings.
