Arts Festival
The Art’s Festival was truly a wonderful night full of outstanding performances. Congratulations to the Junior School boys for their commitment, enthusiasm, and professionalism.
The Year 6 Djembe drummers opened the evening with an exciting welcome, followed by the Choir who enjoyed their opportunity to perform. The Vivaldi Strings played Basse Dance from the Capriol Suite by Peter Warlock followed by Gargoyles by Doug Spata. The Allegro Concert Band performed selections from Grease, giving a tribute to the late Olivia Newton John. We were then given outstanding performances from our two Donald Holder Scholars and the Prestissimo Jazz ended the evening with an all-time popular arrangement of “Watermelon Man” creating a lovely laid-back feel to end the evening.
Thank you to the conductors for their commitment in preparing the boys for this performance. Choir – Ms Goodman, Mr Kinda (accompanist); Vivaldi – Ms Morgan; Allegro – Concert Band – Mr Malyusz; Prestissimo Jazz – Mr Witta.
Special mention and appreciation go to the AV Team for their impressive visuals and sound and to our Maintenance Team for providing the constant transportation of equipment around the School. Thanks also to the classroom teachers for their support throughout the rehearsals and on the night. The success of these nights is always from a wonderful team effort.
Assembly Performance
Congratulations to Kian L who performed beautifully on the cello at the Primary Assembly on Monday. Congratulations also to Krishna K who played the guitar at the Infants Assembly on Wednesday.
