Gabriel W will lead the NSW Swim Team at the National Championships

Next week, the School Sport Australia National Swimming Championships are being held at the Chandler Aquatic Centre in Brisbane on 15 to 20 August.

Four Trinitarians have been selected to compete for both their School and State following their stellar performances at the NSW All School Championships.

2022 NSW All Schools Competitors
NSW Captain Gabriel W, Toby J, Sterling T & Joshua J

Gabriel W has been selected as the Captain of the NSW Swimming Team.  This is a true testament to him and his School, as the team management recognised his strong leadership qualities, coupled with his understanding of building a strong team ethos. This is a very prestigious role, with many of the past leaders going on to represent their country.  At the championships, Gabriel will compete in the 200m, 400m and 800m freestyle in the 18 years age group.

The School’s three other NSW state representatives are:

  • Toby J will compete in the 50m and 100m breaststroke, and relay events (14 years)
  • Sterling T will compete in the 50m and 100m freestyle, plus medley relay (13 years).
  • Joshua J will compete in the 50m, 100m, and 200m butterfly, plus 50m, 100m, and 200m freestyle, plus relay events (14 years)

We wish them all the best of luck, and trust that they will enjoy the experience.  Please use the link below to keep up with their results throughout the week, or for Live Stream details.
