From the Head Master

I would like to take this opportunity to invite all members of the extended Trinity Grammar School community to join us for the Trinity Ball on Saturday August 20.

It will be a wonderful occasion. Not just because of the opportunity to gather and party with friends old and new. Not just because of the music and entertainment and dancing. Not just because of the quality of the food and drink. Not just because of the prizes and auction items. But also because on the night the attendees will be provided with a sneak preview of a number of the aspects of The Renewal Project.

The Renewal Project is the title that we have given to the cluster of developments that will constitute the revitalisation of the Summer Hill campus over the next few years. As visitors to the Summer Hill site are well aware, construction is already underway. Earlier this term, the artificial turf surface of Oval #2 was replaced. Work has commenced on Seaview St in preparation for the new maintenance and deliveries building. The link between the Oval #2 carpark and the Junior School is taking shape. Oval #2 is being excavated. All these works are programmed for completion early in 2023.

In addition, over the coming summer the School is planning to carry out some major landscape upgrades around the Quad and Chapel Way. These works are the primary focus of the fundraising that will take place at the Ball. On the night there will be opportunities to view flythrough footage and augmented reality insights into these works.

I am also very pleased to announce that there will be opportunities for sneak previews into other elements of the Renewal Project, providing some insight into the future appearance and function of the School.

While community members who are unable to attend will still be able to participate from a distance in aspects of the evening’s celebrations, such as the silent auction, it will be vastly more enjoyable to be there in person. This is the first time in a number of years that the Parents and Friends Association, supported by the School, has run an event of this scale and profile; it would be a shame to miss out.

For the next twenty-four hours, tickets can still be purchased at this link. After that point, you may still get lucky if you contact Ms Valentina Damcevski directly in the Community Engagement Office.

I look forward to seeing you there.
