TGSACU – CAS Drill Competition

TGSACU – CAS Drill Competition

On Wednesday this week, a 27 member Drill Competition team represented our Cadet Unit at the 2022 CAS Drill Competition. TGSACU hosted the competition this year, which was held at Knox Grammar School (due to space considerations at Trinity).

Our Team, having the challenge of limited time together to practice and rehearse the set drill routine, performed very well – the Reviewing Officer conveying an encouraging nod to the Trinity spectators, on the Squad’s departure from the Parade area.

The winning Unit this year was St Aloysius, taking the trophy over from Barker.

Our judges, drawn from members of the NSW 2ND BDE HQ, were impressed with the quality of drill by all the five schools and encouraging of our Cadets in their commitment to their Units and in particular, their drill.

Also attending the event yesterday from TGSACU were MAJ Poirier and LT(AAC) Brennan. We were very proud to accompany our Drill Squad, and have conveyed our appreciation of the efforts of all the Squad members, and our RSM (WO1 Curtis Sioulas) and CUO Will Gray for their dedication to the training programme they led for these cadets.

Special thanks go to MAJ(AAC) Anthony Evans who has been working with our Unit on our drill and Ceremonial Parade preparation.

LT(AAC) Susan Draysey | Officer Commanding – TGSACU
