Soloist Competition

Congratulations to Brian, Ethan, Ryan, Jack, Kingsley and Adam who represented the Preparatory School at the Soloist Competition Finals Concert on Wednesday night in the Orchestra Room on the Summer Hill Campus. Thanks to Mr Kinda for accompanying the students and to the Instrumental Music Staff for their support of the students in this whole School activity. This competition provides performing and goal setting opportunities for students throughout their music tuition journey here at Trinity Grammar School and is one of only a few whole of School Music events.

All the Preparatory School boys who performed in the Soloist Finals concert on Wednesday 16th March evening were outstanding.

Congratulations to Kingsley who won the Junior Section with Ryan receiving a Special Mention and Adam who won the Intermediate Section. All Preparatory School Finalists will play during the adjudication of the Public Speaking Finals to be held next Friday in the Gym.

Family Service

Trinity Singers are required to meet in the Choir Room on the Summer Hill Campus on Sunday 20th March at 8:50am.  Thanks to all the parents who have volunteered to assist with the Choir Robes, your assistance will also be required after the service as well. Thanks to Mr Kinda who attended our final Monday morning rehearsal this week.

Year 1 and 2 String Programme Concerts

The students are preparing for year level concerts to celebrate their learning in Term 1 in the coming weeks.  Year 1 and Year 2 will perform for each other in Week 9. The Instrumental Music staff have enjoyed working with the boys and have been very impressed with their organisational skills and dedication to learning the stringed instruments this term. A reminder if boys forget to bring their instruments on a Wednesday, they will have to go without that day.

Primary Choir

For students from Years 3-6 who love to sing and are not part of Trinity Singers, Primary Choir is the ensemble in which you can develop small group ensemble vocal and music reading skills.  This choir rehearses on a Monday morning in the Beethoven Room from 8am-8:25am.  If your son is interested in joining please email Isabelle Keyser at ikeyser@trinity.nsw.edu.au for further details.

Discontinuing Instrumental Music Lessons

As we approach Week 8 and as per the Instrumental Music Brochure, four week’s term time notice is required to be given in writing to Mrs Campbell for your son to discontinue Instrumental Music Tuition in our Private Tuition Program. Please notify Mrs Campbell asap if this applies to you on gcampbell@trinity.nsw.edu.au.
