‘Hello Mandarin’ Recitation Competition 2022

‘Hello Mandarin’ Recitation Competition 2022

The ‘Hello Mandarin’ Recitation Competition 2022 is starting! Everyone is invited to participate.

The competition is organised by NSW Chinese Language Teachers Association and Sydney Recitation Art Group. There are groups for participants of different ages and different language backgrounds.

This event can help students to learn new words and improve their listening, speaking reading and writing skills in Chinese. It will also help to improve their confidence, self-expression and public speaking skills.

In the past four years, many Junior School boys have participated in ‘Hello Mandarin’ Recitation Competition and achieved amazingly. Last year Mimo, James and William (who won Age Group Champion in Australia) sent their performance videos to ‘Voice of Hua Yuan International Chinese Recitation Competition’ which was held in Beijing China in October. William won the Year 5 to 6 Group Champion. Mimo and James were awarded the first prize of the Year 1 to 2 group and Year 3 to 4 group respectively.  Congratulations to these boys!

This year we are going to hold the competition at Junior School again. It will be at the beginning of Term 2. Then boys who get into the final will represent our school and compete with students from other schools. The final competition will be online at this stage. Details will be confirmed later this term.

Please contact Mrs Wang, Junior School Mandarin Teacher, if you are interested in participating in the individual or the group competition.
