DESIGN CHALLENGE

Master-in-Charge: Mr Michael Leadbeatter

Design Challenge provides students with an opportunity to experience the very latest developments in manufacturing and engineering technology, using the School’s ‘Computer-Aided Manufacturing’ (CAM) technology. Boys participating in this activity also enter the annual Australia-wide ‘Schools Innovation Design Challenge’ (SIDC), which involves designing and manufacturing CO2 powered model Formula 1 style racing cars. Each school competes for the best team of designers, collaborators, innovators and the fastest car. The champion School teams also have the opportunity of competing in the ‘International Formula 1 Team Schools Competition’ in the United Kingdom.

Meeting Details:
Wednesday afternoons from 3.40pm to 4.50pm in Room D1.4A.
