Activities Week at Trinity Grammar School is much more than boys participating in camps or other activities outside of their normal weekly routine. The aims and objectives represent an important element of the Trinity Triangle, and the ‘well-rounded’ boy we strive to develop. There are few other opportunities during the School year which provide the range of outcomes and skills which are associated with Activities Week. Some of these include:
Most importantly though, Activities Week is about developing trusting and supportive relationships amongst students and staff, which is essential in further enhancing the productive learning environment we value so highly at Trinity. Such positive relationships help to enhance our boys’ connectedness to the School. This is identified by researchers as one of the most significant protective factors for young people. Through Activities Week, boys also have the opportunity of achieving
success in their chosen endeavour. The School places a premium on providing
opportunities for boys to master something, and feel empowered to pursue
a passion. It is important all boys are able to build their self-confidence
and feel a connection to an activity they value and achieve in. Jason Cheers
