The Year 3 to Year 6 Curriculum in New South Wales is defined in terms
of 6 key learning areas:
- English
- Mathematics
- Science and Technology
- Human Society and its Environment
- Creative and Practical Arts
- Personal Development, Health and Physical Education
The School's language other than English (LOTE) is Mandarin. This is
commenced intensively in Year 3, and continues up to, and including Year
6. It is also continued in the Middle and Senior School.
Computers are provided in every classroom. The library is equipped with
computers which have access to the Internet and the school wide network.
A Computer Room is available for use by all classes and is the base for
specialist computer lessons for all boys in Years 3 to 6.
The Junior School's curriculum is developing constantly and reflects
the changing needs of the boys. The most recent curriculum reviews were
carried out in all key learning areas.
A number of extra-curricular activities is offered before or after
school. These include music tuition, chess, swimming squad coaching, diving
and tennis.
