Welcome to the Trinity Boarding
Community At Trinity we are committed to Boarding. It has been a significant part of the School for many years and provides is a unique experience for young men from across NSW, Australia and many international countries. A Boarder at Trinity not only learns how to cope with living away from home, but also how to make decisions for himself whilst being taught how to live within a community which has a variety of different people. His actions are not only a reflection on himself, but also have an impact on others who live with and around him. Hence he may need to give away some of his individual freedoms for the good of the whole as he learns to recognise the rights of others and thus requiring tolerance and understanding. Boarding at Trinity can then foster understanding and development of one’s self in the areas of accountability, self-discipline, independence, leadership, organisation, teamwork, personal care, and growth in wisdom and stature and in favour with God and man. Being a Boarder at Trinity offers a number of opportunities that will develop a young man’s character. Being so close to the Senior Campus creates more opportunities for greater School involvement than dayboys are even able to contemplate. The Boarders have a large and extensive support network at their disposal to assist with their sporting, academic, cultural and spiritual development which enables them to do their best in all endeavours. Boarding Options Full boarding is seven days a week. There are two exit weekends each term during which boys are required to leave the Boarding House by no later than 12 noon Saturday, returning no later than 9.00pm Sunday. They may stay with parents, guardians or any other family approved of and authorised by parents/Boarding Housemaster. Other leave may be requested by parents from time to time, and day leave may also be applied for to the Boarding Housemaster. Under this arrangement a boy must return home to his parents each weekend, returning to the Boarding House in time for Chapel on Sunday evening prior to 6.00 pm. Weekly Boarders apply for leave each week in the normal manner and it will be automatically approved by the Boarding Housemaster, provided that academic work and behaviour have been of a suitable standard and all co-curricular and sporting commitments have been honoured. Any breach of these conditions may result in weekly boarding privileges being withdrawn for a time or revoked entirely.
